All fabric on this website is processed and cut in Australia.  This means that it is all in metric cuts, not the smaller imperial measurements.  A metre is just short of 40 inches (40 inches is 101.6 cms), a yard is 36 inches or 91.44 cms.

A fat quarter here will always be at least 50 by 55 cms
A fat eighth here will always be at least 25 by 55 cms

If in the future precut fabric is imported from the US, it will be very clearly marked as such.
